Because of the pandemic, our last class reunion was already 5 years ago.

But thinking back to ten years ago, it feels like it was just yesterday that we were all sitting in the same classroom.

We were all learning to code together, striving to become qualified software engineers.

We also rode the wave of the software demand boom, from big data and cloud to the great front-end era and mobile apps.

It wasn't until the emergence of AI that the demand for software engineers started to slow down.

Ten years later, everyone's life has taken a different path.

Some classmates have gotten married.

And, of course, everyone's hairlines have started to recede. (Time to start taking care of our hair!)

Some have held steady at the same job for ten years.

But most are still grinding it out in the software industry.

A few have even managed to enjoy the freedom of early retirement through insurance and investments.

Two of our classmates have even gone on to work at Google, one in the US and the other in the UK.

Over the past decade, time has brought growth, change, and different kinds of rewards. I hope we can all continue to stay in touch in the future.
