# 📣 Meta's Two November Dates Still Awaiting Official Announcement: Archive the Current State of Events Manager First | AI Marketing Daily

## Opening

The most important things to note today are the two November dates Meta has been flagged for: Pixel conversion settings defaulting to on from 11/12, and new business terms taking effect 11/20. But so far this only appears in ad tool vendor roundups, with no official announcement in sight. I'll also cover Amazon Ads bringing generative creative tools into the chat window at unBoxed 2026, and Google rebranding search ads as "supercharged by AI Max." Plus that study claiming "ChatGPT ad revenue is 64% lower": eye-catching numbers, but the sourcing has problems. I'll explain how to read it.

## Today's AI Marketing Highlights

### 1. Meta's two November dates: treat as rumor-level for now, but archive your current state

- **What happened**: In its November 2 update to its Meta ads changelog, ad tool vendor AdManage flagged two changes with specific dates: a Pixel conversion setting defaulting to on starting November 12, and an updated version of the business terms taking effect November 20. Let me be upfront: this is a secondhand roundup from a tool vendor, and the source material includes no corresponding announcement from the Meta Business Help Center or Meta for Business. So for now this can only be written as "reportedly defaults to on starting 11/12, no official Meta announcement seen yet." The same post also revisited four products from the October 15 Brand Building Summit that are still in testing or phased rollout, none with confirmed timing, so they won't affect your work this week.
- **The marketer's take**: Once a conversion setting's default changes out from under you, your attribution basis and reporting baseline shift with it, making reconciliation painful later. But until Meta confirms, there's no need to make sweeping setting changes now. The point is to preserve evidence of your "before" state.
- **What you can do now**: Spend ten minutes in Events Manager today and screenshot three fields for your archive: your primary conversion event names, your deduplication settings, and your conversion attribution window. While you're at it, check Meta's official announcements page to see whether the same notice appears there.
- **Source**: AdManage (<https://admanage.ai/blog/meta-ads-update>). Note: tool vendor blog roundup; no official Meta announcement found in the source material to corroborate.

### 2. Google repackages search ads as "supercharged by AI Max"

- **What happened**: A November Google Ads roundup notes that Google now describes search ads outright as "supercharged by AI Max," with AI interpreting consumer intent to match searches beyond the keywords you selected. The author points out that risk allocation with AI Max is unambiguous: the advertiser pays for every experimental click. This section is a personal blog's paraphrase of Google's messaging, and the source material includes no link to Google Ads' official documentation, so readers can't fully distinguish Google's own wording from the author's interpretation. I'd recommend verifying against the official docs yourself.
- **The marketer's take**: What small-budget accounts should fear isn't inaccurate AI matching, it's burning through the entire test budget during the learning phase. The feature's value can be validated gradually, but you need to be clear about who bears the risk from the start.
- **What you can do now**: Before turning on AI Max, run a check on your negative keyword list, daily budget cap, and conversion tracking setup. Then read the feature description yourself on Google Ads' official docs page rather than relying on a paraphrase.

### 3. Amazon Ads Agent expands its closed beta, with generative creative tools built right into the chat window

- **What happened**: At unBoxed 2026, Amazon Ads announced that Amazon Ads Agent, which unifies the ad buying experience, has entered "expanded closed beta" for its conversational AI experience. Advertisers can ask questions in natural language, view recommendations, and issue commands to adjust campaigns directly. More significantly, generative creative tools are now inside that same conversational interface, able to produce display ads and video from existing product assets. Note that "TV-quality" is Amazon's own characterization, with no third-party verification in the source material.
- **The marketer's take**: For small ecommerce teams, the real shift is that creative production and campaign decisions now live in the same chat window, so a single video no longer requires a full outsourcing cycle. But the quality claims come from the platform itself, so whether something is actually airable is still a judgment you have to make by looking at the output.
- **What you can do now**: Start by auditing the licensing status and specs of your existing product images and video assets. When the beta opens up, run a test on a non-flagship product rather than swapping out creative for your main campaign all at once.

### 4. Meta launched an AI shopping agent on 11/1, and you should scrutinize the numbers yourself

- **What happened**: According to Emergent News, Meta officially launched an AI shopping agent on November 1, 2026, offering personalized product recommendations across its platforms, initially covering the US, UK, Canada, and Germany. The report's cited figures, roughly 3.1 billion monthly actives across the family of apps and the claim that the move "takes direct aim at Amazon's roughly $50 billion advertising business," are the outlet's own citations and estimates. The source material doesn't map them to any comparable figure in Meta's official earnings reports, nor are they performance numbers Meta published. This is an AI-aggregated news page, so I'd suggest treating it as a lead to follow rather than settled fact.
- **The marketer's take**: Whether or not the scale figures are accurate, it's a fact that there's now one more entry point for product discovery. Your social commerce product data, spec fields, and Q&A content should start being maintained to the same standard as your ecommerce product pages.
- **What you can do now**: Pick five flagship products and check whether your social catalog titles, spec fields, and the common questions in your comments sections have any gaps or outdated information.
- **Source**: Emergent News (<https://emergent.sh/news/meta-ai-shopping-agent-challenges-amazon-ad>). Note: aggregated news page, not an official Meta release.

### 5. Don't put that "ChatGPT ad revenue is 64% lower" number in your deck yet

- **What happened**: On November 2, Search Engine Land reported on a study finding that ChatGPT ads generate 64% less revenue per visit than Google search. The researchers estimated that for returns to match Google, cost per click would need to land around $0.26, while one advertiser reported actually paying $1.72. This needs a clear caveat: the link provided in the source material is Search Engine Land's latest-articles listing page, not a permanent URL for the report itself, and the study's authors, sample size, and observation period aren't disclosed in anything we have. So confidence in these three figures is currently low, and the $1.72 is just a single, unnamed advertiser's self-report.
- **The marketer's take**: The directional warning still holds: AI chatbot traffic may currently be both expensive and thin. But numbers precise to the decimal point shouldn't be the basis for a budget proposal until the source is traceable.
- **What you can do now**: Rather than citing someone else's 64%, work backward from your own average order value and conversion rate to derive an acceptable CPC ceiling, then decide whether to allocate a small test budget to AI search ads.
- **Source**: Search Engine Land (<https://searchengineland.com/latest-posts>). Note: this is the site's latest-articles listing page, not a permanent link to the 11/2 report. Please search for and verify the original yourself.

### 6. Prada goes hand-drawn for the holidays, positioning itself against "AI slop"

- **What happened**: Euronews reported on November 2 that Italian luxury house Prada dropped AI-generated assets for its new holiday campaign in favor of traditional hand-drawn illustration, described as a direct response to "AI slop." The report also contrasts this with Coca-Cola's AI holiday ads, which drew criticism two years running in 2024 and 2025, while Prada's approach received positive comments online.
- **The marketer's take**: "Made by hand" is becoming an actionable differentiator for holiday campaigns, and disclosing how your assets were made may work better than hiding it. That said, there are arguments on both sides of the AI creative debate: proponents value production speed and cost, critics care about craft and creator rights. I'm not taking a side here.
- **What you can do now**: Audit the provenance of your year-end campaign assets, decide which ones you want to proactively disclose, and treat the disclosure itself as a copy angle, then A/B test a version to see how your audience responds.

## Closing

There's really only one thing to act on today: before any official Meta announcement appears, screenshot your Events Manager conversion events, deduplication settings, and attribution window. Ten minutes of effort that will save you during reconciliation later. Two things to watch next: whether Meta's official channels post a formal announcement around 11/12, and whether Amazon Ads Agent's beta slots open up for your account. See you tomorrow.
